- Be respectful and polite to other chatters. That way, they will be respectful and polite to you.
- When you first enter a chat room, don’t jump right in. First see who is there and what the atmosphere is like. You wouldn’t walk into a bar, jump on a table and shout, “Hey everyone, I’m here — have fun!” If the atmosphere or the people in a room aren’t right for you, simply move on to another room.
- Do you like flirting? The person you are talking to might not. If someone is reluctant, leave them alone instead of insisting. Some people are already bothered by the question “Are you a woman or a man?”
- Everyone is in a bad mood sometimes, but don’t take it out on others in the chat. Chatting is meant to be fun. If you want to talk about your problems, you will find someone to listen to you in a private, quiet room.
- Help newcomers! When someone new arrives, remember your own first chat. Did someone help you back then? Do the same for them. Did no one help you? Then do better. Today’s newcomer can become a regular and a friend.
- Chatting is fun, and humor is part of it. But everyone’s sense of humor is different, and something you find very funny may hurt someone else.
- Don’t pressure anyone to give you their phone number. If someone wants to talk to you on the phone, they will give you their number voluntarily — when they decide to, which may be never. Respect that.
- Avoid bad language. Glorification of violence or drugs, pornographic content and racist remarks are not tolerated and lead to exclusion from the chat.
- If someone misbehaves in a chat, don’t argue with them or disturb others — ignore them. If they keep it up, report them in the app or alert a moderator.
- Don’t advertise other chat services or try to recruit chat moderators for them. If you prefer another chat, you are free to go there.
- Insults and offensive language are prohibited. Accounts that receive complaints or are found to break this rule may be permanently closed and blocked from the Service. Whether such accounts are reopened is at the discretion of the app administrators. You can appeal such a decision as described in our Terms of Use.
